The Harlem Globetrotters will be at the Ferrell Center February 3rd.   For tickets and more information go to www.waco.com.   Also check Baylor basketball and other items of interest for the remainder of January and February.

Things of interest in Waco, Texas:

The Dr. Pepper museum, built in 1906.   For more information log on to www,drpeppermuseum.com

The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum.   A complex dedicated to the history and lore of the Texas Rangers.

There is also the Mayborn  Museum at Baylor University campus.

There is a water park and tennis complex in the vicinity of Lake Waco.

Lake Waco has several parks    for recreational activities and boat launches.

Waco has Providence Hospital complex and there are many different clinics for cardiology, cancer and other treatment centers.   Also, there is Hillcrest Hospital, which is merging with Scott and White in Temple.  

There are three higher education facilities in Waco. Baylor University, McLennan Community College and Texas State Technical College.   TSTC is a technical college and home of L3 corporation.

The Brazos River runs through downtown and I the home of one of the oldest historic suspension bridges, built in 1870
